Every filing period, the same three headaches
The spreadsheet
Rebuilding the DoT template by hand — copying guest names, dates, and rates out of Airbnb one booking at a time, every filing period.
The deadline
The 28th arrives quietly. Miss it and the law adds 20% to your bill — automatically, and DoT cannot waive it.
The scattered records
Rates in Airbnb, payouts in your bank, notes in WhatsApp. Reconciling it all at filing time is the worst part of hosting.
Hosts.ky keeps all of it in one place — and produces the return for you.
From Airbnb to filed, in three steps
Connect your calendar
Paste your Airbnb iCal link once. Bookings import automatically and stay in sync — direct bookings can be added by hand.
Review the period
Confirm rates, mark exempt local stays, and import your Airbnb transaction CSV for exact earnings, fees, and payouts.
Download and file
One click produces the DoT template — filled, totaled, and named the way DoT expects. Attach it to your filing email. Done.
Everything the filing needs, nothing it doesn't
DoT report generation
The exact Department of Tourism template — filled, totaled, and formatted the way DoT expects. Download as Excel or PDF.
Airbnb booking import
Your iCal feed keeps bookings current; the transaction CSV fills in gross earnings, fees, cleaning charges, and payouts.
Deadline tracking
Filing periods with due dates adjusted for weekends and Cayman public holidays — always visible from your dashboard.
Email reminders
A nudge before each filing due date, and before your annual Tourism Accommodation Licence renewal.
Also included: housekeeping schedules · entry-code tracking · payout history

Common questions
Does Airbnb pay the 13% tax for me?
No. In the Cayman Islands, Airbnb does not collect or remit the Tourist Accommodation Tax — hosts file and pay the Department of Tourism directly. Hosts.ky prepares that filing from your bookings.
When are returns due?
By the 28th of the filing month, moved earlier when the 28th falls on a weekend or Cayman public holiday. Hosts.ky shows the exact date for every period.
What happens if I file late?
The law adds an automatic 20% surcharge that DoT cannot waive. One late period typically costs more than a year of Hosts.ky.
What do I need to get started?
Your Airbnb iCal link and a few minutes. Direct bookings can be entered by hand, and Airbnb transaction CSVs fill in your exact earnings.
